General Information

A membership in WWOOF Sweden enables you to travel to WWOOF hosts all around Sweden.

The Model

Visitors to the website are able to see information, presentations and photos from all Swedish hosts. However to be able to take part of the WWOOFing experience you have to become a member. Membership gives you access to host’s contact information with which arrangements can be arranged.

Upon contacting a host, (snail mail, telephone or email) tell them a little bit about yourself and why you would like to wwoof on their farm. You do not need to speak Swedish to visit a farm, all the hosts speak good English and often other languages as well. Although wwoofing is a good way of practice some Swedish!

If you set a date to visit a host and then find you cannot make it, please phone the host to let them know.

To Join

Go to the join page and fill in the registration form. Your chosen user name becomes your WWOOF ID and is used for login and will soon be used for other members to view your profile and for you to view other member’s profile. The registration form requires only basic contact and user information to be filled in. As a member you will be able to fill in more extensive information in the “My Details” section of the website.

When completing the registration you will be led to a page requiring you to confirm your details. The next step leads you to a payment form. The cost of membership is 25 Euro and is done with Visa, Mastercard or Paypal. A mail is sent to you with your WWOOF login information. The membership is valid for one year.

It may happen that your wwoofing experience turns out to be different to your expectations and this can be for a variety of reasons. If the reasons are relatively minor, perhaps the food, accommodations or workload are not what was expected or you have a difference of opinion with your host, we would like to hear your comments. We will contact the farm and, maintaining anonymity, offer advice to the host to ensure that a wwoofing experience on their farm is a happy one.
