We are running a home for mentally disabled people in an anthroposofic way, some 20 kms west of Umeå. We have some sheep, chickens, two cats and two dogs and a goat. A small vege garden and a lot of firewood chopping!
Wwoofers are expected to help in all chores related to the site. That could be weeding, pruning, harvesting (depending on the time of year), fencing, cooking and household duties, general maintenance work, together with the residents or by themselves.
We can offer a beautiful site, near the lake where you can swim (in the summer!) and really nice company! Both the residents and the people that work here are open minded, curious and excited to meet new people from all around the world!
We can host 1-2 Wwoofers during the period may-sep, and you will stay in a separate building on the premises. Meals shared.
Our gardening principle is non-certified organic, and the food is 75% organic. Vegetarians/vegans are also welcome!
