This is a spot for wwoofers to communicate and share experiances with each other. It is still advisable to contact the hosts right away via PM, (Personal Messages) Snailmail or telephone.

Good luck!

Greetings,
Jandi

Contact me if there are any new projects/events or festivals coming up, I love new challenges and meeting new people!

hello all the wwoofers,

here is my experience about a place I went in February 2009: Alekärr in the västgotland.
Alekärr is a nice farm cultivating different plants for sell in markets and in the organic shop situated within the farm. The farm main productions are apple juice and tomatoes. The farm is constituted of several buildings: Lars-Gustaf's house, the house for guests and woofers (with the rooms a living room, a dining room and the kitchen), the huge green house for the tomatoes and a couple of sheds.
I spent two weeks in Alekärr, at the beginning of February. Me and two other woofers had several main tasks: cutting wood, cooking bread (for further selling maybe), tidying the attics and other places of the farm. It is hoped from the woofers to work the whole day everyday of the week except on Saturday which is the free day.
It was nice to be several woofers that give much enjoyment to the daily life; even if there are some people passing by the farm day after day. It might be interesting to know for further woofer that the farm does not belong to one person but to a Christian association. It does not matter much for the person not interested in the subject but if one is, it is definitely a place where you can find people to talk on the subject.

I wish you all some good experiences,
Sofia

Hej All,

I just left Sweden and had great wwoofing experience at Mossagarden! During one month i worked on farm, sometimes did construction works. Also they had music festival, so i helped for everykind of work about the organisation! That's another good side.

There is a little wwoofer town at the one corner of farm. Wwoofers stay in renewed/modified small houses/caravans. But there is not any kitchen or bathroom. You must eat & take shower at castle (building like office).
The day generally starts at 08.00, and a break at 10.00, lunch at 12.00. All the foods are organic, and limitless. In the evenings they ask you what type of work you wanna do for tomorrow.
Sometimes they bring you lake for swimming after dinner as well. And there are many good things etc..

I definetely recommend you Mossagarden.

Have unforgettable experience in Sverige!
