Welcome to The Vision

We moved here in the spring of 2009 and have begun to transform this charming old house. I am an artist and designer and so am blending my own paints and pigments using traditional and ecologically sound materials. My partner, Esa is an agriculturalist and works at a nearby seed development centre. Together we have two children aged 8 and 9.

Our first spring here we planted a vegetable garden which has been productive, this spring and summer we want to make it larger. There is the project of scraping and painting the outside of the house in May, June and July as well as picking berries for preserves and mushrooms for drying.

Renovating this wonderful old house and farm buildings and working on the vegetable plot is absorbing but we also take time to relax with wood saunas beside the river and bathing. Our meat is hunted locally by ourselves and our vegetables home grown. We welcome volunteers from April to September and promise good food and good humor for those that come.
