Fiddlers farm
About the farm
The farm consist 9 ha land, of which we use about 4 ha for our 20
islandic horses. Some trees, fruittrees, pinetrees and herbal-, flower-garden and a ecological kitchengarden for vegetables. We have also dug out a litle pond with three ducks in it. The farm is located beautiful on the top of Hallandsåsen in a very small village with beautiful surroundings for walking, running, cycling, skiing (in winter) and riding.
The animals consists of 18 adult islandic horses and one pregnant mare born 2003 and two horses born summer 2011.
We have 2 Norweigan cats and 13 islandic hens and one rooster. It was rather rundown when we bought it 1996. We have been changing a lot on the house.
The sauna and a SPA is recently ready,but we are still not ready with all our projects. And I think we never will be as we allways want to try different way of growing, discover, building...
We have bikes that can be used to see the local sights and the sea (in Båstad) is just 8 kilometers from the farm.
We also have a trampolin. Our closest biggest train station is
Ängelholm. From there you can take the bus towards Svenstorp (number 507) and stop at Liagärde. Stenmöllan. Then we pick you up - if you don´t want to walk 2,3 kilometers.


You will stay in a big beautiful room in the barn. We have wwoof computer, wwoofcar, winterclothes, sheet, pillow, blanket, towels, hot water, helmets, ridingsclothes, shower, toilet. etc...

Work to do
Fence, painting like:-walls-instruments-horsetruck, garden work,
weeding, forestry, building, mending broken things, bring away things to the recycling station, cooking, cleaning, washing and sorting clothes, riding, childcare, You name it! There is always lots of work to be done here.
We usually work together with wwoofers but wwoofers can often do their work when it suits them.

About us
We are two adults (Laif, from Denmark , plays two row accordian and
violin) & Ninni (swedish, plays violin) both born 1962 and three
children but 2 has flown out Elna (plays also classical violin) born
1988 and Ale (plays, cittern, guitar, violin, mandolin, drums) born
1989 is gone, but Alma born 2001 will be in the house for
several years. We have two grandchildren born 2009 och we love children! We are professional musicians of scanian folkmusic. We are 4 master fiddler in the family and perform about 250 school consert each year from Monday - Wednesday between
8.00 in the morning to - 12.00 o´clock. Rest of the week we work on the farm with the garden and the horses and reparing string
instruments, or giving lessons to children in violin. We have a
little school for those who want to learn more about riding or just
go for a tour in the forest. One of our dreams is to have riding
camp with children and youth with both playing and riding. Ninni are educated in Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm as a music therapist and in the Jaques Dalcroze method, Laif is educated as an Instrumentmaker in Carl Malmstens school for Georg Bohlin and Ninnis has studied in Sörängens school for art and weaving and Islandic horses in Strömsholm.
We both work for Musikisyd. Ninni works some
hours in Malmö Academy of music as a pedagogical professor. We are both member of Fobo - an organic biological organisation and JAK. A bank which has no interestcharges.

We are interested in languages and speak fluently Swedish, Danish, pretty good English, Ok French, and a little Spanish. We eat a lot of fish, egg, chicken and vegetables and also meat. We have a fully equiped kitchen. We work voluntarily for different organisations for example scanian fiddle organisation and folkmusician amateurgroups and we arrange many folkmusic workshops, concerts in singing games, music and dancing for children, youths and adults so our farm is not
in the best condition as we like to do a lot for other peoples
happiness...

We want Wwoofers who are non smokers, music and horse lovers and very fond of beautiful nature.

Ninni obstain from Alcohol. Laif has diabetes 2 so he shouldn´t eat to many sweet things...

We would like wwoofers who likes to work outside and help us with our big festivalplans. We are planning a combinated ridinghall with musichall and in there we are going to sell local produced vegetables, music, handicraft on a festival. One wwoofer builded a
labyrint (mace) and in there we would like to have a fairyforest with a lot of trolls and other magic fairytails figures from this area...

So we have a lot of plans...
