Karlbergs Gård is a newly born community of friends, living at an old farmland. At this point we are 10 people; 7 adults and 3 children. Our mission is to extend the farm through developing a (eco)village where sustainability, feeling of community and creative freedom takes place.
We started up our permaculture -inspired garden 2010, and it is still on a very experimental level. With educated gardeners on site this can be a place for woofers to learn more about gardening while working with the building-up process of the gardens.
Several new buildings are planned, and several of the existing houses are retrofitted, where we will adjust them to renewable sources of energy and as local as possible. Work with different clay-techniques, as well as timber will be essential for some of the future planned buildings. Several of the commnity members are skilled carpenters.
We have horses on site, to some extent inspired by natural horsemanship. To have the ability to go further in this process, we especially welcome guests with skills in natural horsemanship.
We can only host 2 volounteers at a time (at the warmest part of summer and during our festival we have the possibility to host more)
AT THE PRESENT MOMENT: We are preparing gardenbeds, planting, working with seedlings, retrofitting the chickenhouse and Ricardos cirkuswagon. The festival also under buildup, and will be an great adventure in the realms of music, arts, krativity and ecology.
