Welcome to Lönshults östra gård

Smallscale farm with organic certification (KRAV). We have 12 ha arable land and 8 ha natural grassland and pastures around the farm. We grow fodder for the animlas and some vegetables for the household. The animals are 6-7 cows (and off-spring) of two different old Swedish heritage breeds. 20 yews of old swedish race "gute" and two rams, six geese of old breed "Öland", ducks and a herd of hens, old Scanian breed called "Åsbo". Local abattoir and sale. Our two shetland ponies are being learned to draughthorses. Old Swedish heritage breeds and types of plants and animals are of great interest, as is the links between the organisms on the farm and manual grass harvesting for the sake of the pasture orchids. We make some cheese, bake sourdogh bread and like to cook with ingredients from the farm and the surroundings. When we don´t tend to the animals or plants, we like to read books and play music.

We expect you to work six-eight hours a day, five days a week. The work starts at 8.00. You don´t need to have any experience from farming. Interest and enthousiasm is good enough.

We only have room for one wwoofer at a time.

Petite ferme, certification biologique (KRAV). Nous cultivons 12 hectares de herbes pour les animaux et un peu de vegetables. Plus nous avons 8 hectares de pâture naturale. Sur la ferme vous trouvez 6-7 vaches, de 2 races different, les deux vieilles races suédoises (Fjällnära fjällko et Rödkulla) et ses mollets. 20 brébis de vieille race "gute", 5-10 oix de vieille race "Öland", un nombre de poulets de vieille race locale "Åsbo". Nôtre deux chevaux Shetland sont en aprennant être cheval de labour. Nous sommes interessés par les liaisons entre les organismes sur la ferme (la permaculture) et la fenaison manuelle dans la pâture pour protéger les orchidées. Nous faisons un peu de fromage, pain de levain naturale et la cuisine avec plaisir. Quand nous nous n'occupons pas de la ferme, nous lire des livres et faire de la musique.
