Is it better to PM hosts or e-mail them?

Speaking as a host who has poor net access, email is far easier as I don't have to log into the wwoof site to respond.

Hi!
PM is the best, I will still got a notification in the e-mail. In the PM it will be ease for me to go back to your mail. In the e-mail it will kind of drawn with all my other mails. This atom I have already got a very interesting request for next summer but I thing it is a bit early to decide and in the PM her mail will be safe.
