Biological-dynamical farming with permacultural background
Our farm is located 20 km from the East coast, 30 km southwest of Kalmar.
When we took over the farm in November 2006, the biodynamical farming has been practiced for more than 25 years. We added our animals (2 horses, 35 sheep, 30 goats, 5 pigs, a couple of hens and ducks, 2 dogs and 2 cats) and our dream of permaculture.
We - that are Bo and Katrin Schwere with our 5 sons, Felix and Gerrit (both 24, studying and only here during the holidays), Julius (18), Anton (17), Jonathan (9), our 2 daughters Madelen (15) and Madeleine (19) and our exchange student Sebastian (17).
We are growing a number of different vegetables, berries and corn. The work can be all from working on the fields, taking care of the animals, chopping firewood, building and renovating up to creating new growing-areas.
There are 2 beds in the little house, 1-2 in a caravan and we have a big military tent. Bicycles are available. We are cooking and eating together in the main house.
It's a lot of sociable life on the farm besides the seasonable celebrations, such as midsummer.
