Välkommen till Permakultur Ihop

We are a big family, including children and parents we are 10 people. Everybody is not living here of course. I will, I am one of the brothers in the family (middle brother), and I'm also the one who started this project. We are a non-profit organization, so we are just working to spread knowledge and living the way we would like to.

Projects we will be starting, in spring and summer:

Forest garden, annual garden, outdoor kitchen,herb garden, experimental crops (no till farming) compost toilet,
food preservation ( drying, smoking, fermenting), mushroom cultivation, bee keeping, Natural building project ( earth house/hobbit house ), worm bin, chicken tractor, green house, alternative energy, rain water catchments. These are are all projects that we plan on getting started with next year in April. All of them may not be finished by the end of the season, but there is always an other year.

This is a great opportunity to gain new knowledge and make new friends while spending lots of time in nature.

Many projects we have going will be ongoing throughout the entire year and others may just take an hour or two. We want there to be a fair exchange for the work you put in, the hospitality we provide and knowledge. Therefore we won’t take more than 4 volunteers at once and we wish for you to choose the projects that suit you best. Other than that, if you get the feeling that you wanna spend some time here, then we won’t argue with you as long as we have space.
For those who are interested in coming to help out for just a short project, a longer stay or maybe just passing by, here is some practical information.

Accomodation

This Is what we can offer at the moment, in the future we would like to build an earthhouse.
We will also be sleeping here with you and will be spending a lot of time together.

Caravans - 4 people
Loft (sauna) - 2 people
Tent - 1 - 4 people
Room in property owner´s house - 1 - 2 people (extra charge)

Electricity will be available at caravan location (220V)
Wireless Internet available in caravans

Sanitation

Drinking water
will be easily accessed on the site from a tap. It will be stored in containers in the location of use.

Lake
We live right by a lake and this is were we will be cleaning ourselves on the warmer days.

Sauna
Right by the lake there is a sauna that we will fire up on those little colder days. This is the traditional way of keeping clean in Sweden.

Rainwater
The rainwater is very clean but will be used for dishes and washing hands.

An overview of the area

Everybody needs to get away sometimes, even though your probably not going to get enough of all the fantastic work, we will drag you from your project if we have to! We want to be sure that you have time to do things in the area. To not have everybody running away from an important an project leaving a lone solder to do all the work we will decide together when the hammock time can occur.
