We are Caroline 24 years, Gustaf 32 years, Vilgot 3 years and Alf 1 year. This is the 5th year for us on this farm.
This year we have been growing dilll, salad, onions, carrots, beets, parsnips, zucchini and squash in our garden. The season is over now but we have lots of vegetables to eat for the winter. Next year we be growing a lot more vegetables on the field but also in our new greenhouse.
We have some animals here on the farm too. We have an old swedish breed of pigs (linderöd). Right now we have 2 mother pigs, 1 father pig and 12 piglets. More piglets will be born this winter. They go outside all year and have plenty of space.
Right now we have about 20 egg-laying chickens of different breed. We will build a bigger chickenhouse with room for 100 chickens under 2012.
We also have one beehive.
In this autumn 2011 we are building a greenhouse of 115 squaremetres. We continue building on the farmshop and doing some forest work.
If you come to our farm at this time you will be helping us with these things as well as taking care of the animals.
All people are welcome. It is important that you are truly interested in farming and self-sufficient living.
You will be living in a room in our house, we cook and eat together. Help with cooking is much appreciated.
Be prepared to work about 5-6 hours a day, 5-6 days a week.
